Brooklyn, NY - Moped Rider Dies in Collision at 18th Ave & 56th St

Brooklyn, NY (March 29, 2024) – A moped rider was killed following an accident in the Brooklyn area on Wednesday, March 27. The deadly accident was reported late that night at around 9 p.m. at the corner of 18th Avenue and 56th Street. Local reports revealed that a 22-year-old on a moped was hit by a Toyota Rav4. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched in order to render the necessary aid. The rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. No charges have been filed at this time. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. No additional information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
