Manhattan, NY - Pedestrian Injured in Crash at 55th St & 3rd Ave

Manhattan, NY (May 2, 2024) – There were confirmed injuries after a pedestrian accident in the Manhattan area on Thursday, May 2. The crash occurred early that morning around 1:09 a.m. at the intersection of E. 55th Street and 3rd Avenue. The victim was reportedly traveling on foot when they were hit by a motor vehicle. 

It was later revealed that a 47-year-old pedestrian was hit by a black Volvo. The victim’s head was reportedly bleeding, and she was provided aid at the scene before being transferred to a local hospital by ambulance. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
