New York Distracted Driving Crashes
It is your duty as a driver to concentrate on the road. Unfortunately, the rising use of smartphones and other mobile devices in the United States has made this almost impossible. New York drivers are known for driving recklessly, and the state’s roads can be dangerous. The state ranks sixth nationally for driving distraction. Between 2017 and 2021, 563 out of 4,785 road deaths in the state were associated with distracted driving, accounting for an estimated 13 percent of all traffic fatalities. Drivers who fail to pay attention to the road should be held liable for their conduct in the event of a serious auto accident. That is often only possible when you work with a qualified lawyer to pursue a compensation claim.
