Queens, NY - Collision Ends in Injuries at 149th Ave & 85th St

Queens, NY (April 23, 2024) – At least one person was hurt after a car crash in the Queens area on Tuesday, April 23. The collision was reported that morning around 7:38 a.m. at the crossing of 149th Avenue and 85th Street. Two vehicles reportedly collided at the scene. 

There were confirmed injuries in the crash, but the number and severity of the resulting injuries have not yet been reported. The injured parties were provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. Those requiring additional treatment were later hospitalized. The number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present, and tow trucks were needed to clear the area of the resulting wreckage and other debris. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local authorities are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
