Queens, NY - Collision on Long Island Expy Ends in Injuries

Queens, NY (July 22, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries following a pileup car accident in the Queens area on Monday, July 22. The crash was reported on Long Island Expressway W. near Exit 22A early that morning, around 2:25 a.m. Three or more vehicles collided at the scene. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. There were confirmed injuries at the scene, but the number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been determined. Emergency responders were present to aid the involved parties, and those needing additional support were later hospitalized by ambulance. The area was closed for several hours while local authorities worked to clear the scene. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris. While no further information on the accident is currently available, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
