New York Distracted Driving Accidents

The actions you take behind the wheel can impact those around you. Unfortunately, you do not have to drive far to see a driver looking down at their phone at a red light or stop sign. Sometimes, motorists will do it while they are actively moving. New York drivers are known to engage in reckless actions, including driver distraction. In fact, it is one of the leading factors in serious crashes across the city. In 2022 alone, statistics show that 28,753 vehicles were involved in distracted-driving collisions in the Big Apple. More than 3,000 people are killed annually by distracted drivers in the United States, and texting behind the wheel has become shockingly prevalent on American roads. A trained lawyer can help you pursue a strong claim for compensation to make sure your legal rights are protected after a serious collision.
