Ronkonkoma, NY (July 23, 2024) – Two people were killed after a plane crash in the Ronkonkoma area on Monday, July 22. The incident took place near the MacArthur Airport early that evening, around 6:15 p.m. A small airplane was reportedly departing from the airport when it crashed.
An airport employee told officials that the plane attempted to return to the runway after becoming airborne and crashed. Two men, the pilot and passenger of the craft, sustained fatal injuries in the impact. Both parties were pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel.
