Staten Island, NY - Injury Crash at Staten Island Expy & Richmond Ave

Staten Island, NY (April 21, 2024) – There were confirmed injuries in the aftermath of a car accident in the Staten Island area on Sunday, April 21. The collision took place at the corner of Staten Island Expressway W. and Richmond Avenue early that morning around 8:59 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. 

Those requiring further treatment were later transferred to nearby hospitals by ambulance. The severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been confirmed. The area was closed while emergency responders were present, and tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage to reopen the area to outside traffic. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
