Staten Island, NY - Pileup Injury Crash at Davidson St & Grandview Ave

Staten Island, NY (April 18, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident in the Staten Island area on Thursday, April 18, required support from local paramedics. The incident was reported early that morning around 6:20 a.m. at the crossing of Davidson Street and Grandview Avenue. Three vehicles were reportedly involved in the collision. 

A driver reportedly had a medical episode while traveling on the roadway. The driver collided with two other vehicles. They had to be extricated by responding medical personnel, and at least one person was lying on the roadway. One person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were needed to remove the resulting wreckage and other debris in order to reopen the area to outside traffic. No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
