Bronx, NY - Car Accident on E 196th St Results in Injuries

Bronx, NY (June 26, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident in the Bronx area on Wednesday, June 26. The crash was reported at the 315 block of E. 196th Street early that morning around 1:11 a.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. 

There were confirmed injuries at the scene, but the number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been determined. Emergency responders were present to aided the involved parties, and those needing additional support were later hospitalized by ambulance. The area was closed for several hours while local authorities worked to clear the scene. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris. While no further information on the accident is currently available, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
