New York High-Speed Collisions

Bronx, NY - Injuries in Collision at Cross Bronx & Major Deegan ExpyThe speed limit on New York City roads is typically set at around 25 miles per hour to ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians. Despite this regulation, reckless driving behavior still persists in the bustling metropolis, leading to tragic and fatal collisions. In all, 3,940 auto accidents in the city in 2022 included drivers who went over the speed limit. Roughly one-third of all traffic deaths over the past 20 years have been linked to high-speed collisions, with speeding drivers killing up to 10,000 people annually on American roadways. Speeding increases the likelihood that you may lose control of your car and get into a significant collision, in which case the power of contact will nearly always be substantially greater.
