Medford, NY – Pedestrian Hurt in Hit-&-Run at Southaven Ave & CR 101
Medford, NY (May 26, 2024) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after a hit-and-run accident in the Medford area on Saturday, May 25. The accident was reported at the corner of Southern Avenue and County Road 101 late that evening around 8:35 p.m. Local reports indicated that the victim was crossing the roadway in the northbound lanes of County Road 101 when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The driver that hit the victim continued traveling north without stopping to render aid. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of the victim on the roadway. The injured pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available.
