Bronx, NY – Two Officers Hurt in Collision at Gun Hill Rd & Knapp St
Bronx, NY (April 28, 2024) – Early on Saturday, April 27, two officers were injured after a car accident in the Bronx area. The crash was reported at the corner of Gun Hill Road and Knapp Street near Pelham Gardens early that morning around 7:55 a.m. It was later revealed that the officers were responding to reports of gunfire at the time of the impact.
It was then that the officers collided with two other vehicles. The two officers were injured and transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. A 24-year-old man refused medical attention at the scene, and a 39-year-old man was treated by responding paramedics for a hand injury.
