Brooklyn, NY – Injuries in DUI Collision on Mother Gaston Blvd
Brooklyn, NY (May 21, 2024) – On Monday, May 20, there were reported injuries after a crash involving a drunk driver in the Brooklyn area. The incident was reported on Mother Gaston Boulevard near Dumont Avenue late that night around 7 p.m. Local reports revealed that a driver ran a red light at the intersection leading up to the crash.
The 28-year-old motorist collided with an Acura TLX driven by a 38-year-old woman who was headed eastbound on Dumont. The driver of the Acura reportedly had a suspended license. In the first vehicle, a 21-year-old woman was holding a one-year-old child in the front passenger seat. The child was transported to a local hospital with a skull fracture. The woman holding the child was also hospitalized for treatment. The 28-year-old driver was found to be intoxicated, and both drivers were taken into custody and are facing related charges.
