High-Speed Collisions in New York
Historically, speed has played a key role in overall roadway safety. It can often determine the severity of a crash as well as the severity of any injuries that may follow. Speeding is a reckless driving behavior that is common in New York. In 2020, motor vehicle occupants accounted for over 53.8 percent of traffic deaths in the city, and speeding accounted for nearly 29 percent of road fatalities in the Big Apple. Thousands of people die in the United States each year as a result of the potentially deadly habit of speeding. The fact that high-speed crashes have been linked to almost one-third of all traffic deaths recorded in the country over the previous 20 years should come as no surprise. With the assistance of an experienced lawyer, you might be able to seek compensation if you or a loved one is unjustly injured in an automobile accident.
