Garden City, NY – Several Hurt in Bus Accident at Rockaway Ave & 1st St
Garden City, NY (April 16, 2024) – On Monday, April 15, there were multiple injuries after a crash involving a bus in the Garden City area. The accident was reported at the intersection of Rockaway Avenue and 1st Street that afternoon around 3 p.m. A school bus was reportedly en route to pick up some students at the time of the impact.
The bus and another vehicle collided at the scene. The bus driver and an aide were injured in the crash. There were no students on board the bus at the time of the accident. There were four people in the other vehicle, including a 12-year-old. Local reports revealed that some of these occupants were treated at the scene by attending medical personnel.
