Manhattan, NY - Injuries in Pedestrian Crash at 5th Ave & 106th St

Manhattan, NY (April 6, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a pedestrian accident in the Manhattan area on Saturday, April 6. The collision occurred at the intersection of 5th Avenue and E. 106th Street that afternoon at around 12:02 p.m. Two pedestrians were involved in the crash. 

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. It was later revealed that the injured parties were riding a scooter when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. The injured parties were treated by attending medical personnel before being transferred to a local hospital for further support. The number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been provided. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
