Ronkonkoma, NY – Woman Dies in Hit-&-Run on Ronkonkoma Blvd
Ronkonkoma, NY (May 21, 2024) – On Monday, May 20, a woman from Holbrook was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the Ronkonkoma area. The deadly crash was reported on Ronkonkoma Boulevard near Third Street early that morning around 3:20 a.m. It was reported that the victim was on the road when they were struck by a dark-colored sedan headed southbound.
The at-fault driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured party. Emergency crews were later dispatched after being notified of the victim lying on the roadway. The injured pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The deceased victim was identified as 21-year-old Elyse Crivaro of Holbrook. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked the scene. No updates on the identity of the driver or the suspect vehicle have been provided at this time.
