Yonkers, NY (March 9, 2024) – On Thursday, March 7, a teenager was hurt while walking to a bus stop in Yonkers. The incident occurred at the corner of Yonkers Avenue and Dunwoodie Street that afternoon at around 3 p.m. The 15-year-old was en route to get on a bus when they were hit by the oncoming vehicle.
The impact caused the teen to roll over the car and land on the roadway. The juvenile suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment. The driver involved was traveling at a high rate of speed leading to the accident.
