Staten Island, NY - Motorcyclist Killed, Several Hurt in Crash on Morningstar Rd

Staten Island, NY (June 20, 2024) – On Wednesday, June 19, a motorcyclist was killed and others were injured after a traffic accident in the area of Staten Island. The incident took place on Morningstar Road near Dixon Avenue late that night around 7:25 p.m. Local reports indicated that a 25-year-old motorcyclist was headed north on Morningstar Road when he collided with a Hyundai attempting to cross the intersection. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. The injured rider was transported to the Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The 19-year-old woman driving the Hyundai and her three passengers were hospitalized for the treatment of sustained injuries. The identity of the deceased party has not been provided at this time. No updates on the incident are currently available. Nevertheless, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
