Staten Island, NY - Two Hurt in Rollover on Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge

Staten Island, NY (March 23, 2024) – Two people were injured following a rollover crash in Staten Island on Friday, March 22. The collision was reported that afternoon at around 1:01 p.m. on Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. Two vehicles reportedly collided at the scene, causing one car to roll. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to render the necessary medical aid. The injured parties were trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated by attending emergency crews. The victims were transferred to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze for treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while authorities worked to clear the scene, and there were significant delasy on the roadway. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
