Brooklyn, NY (March 28, 2024) – On Monday, March 25, a bicyclist was hurt after being hit by a motor vehicle in the Brooklyn area. The accident was reported at the corner of Flushing Avenue and Waverly Avenue at around 5 p.m. Local sources indicated that a ghost driver hit the victim and then sped away from the scene. 

The injured rider was reportedly left in significant pain on the roadway. The cyclist, later identified as 64-year-old Tim Bascom, was riding eastbound on a bicycle when a driver who was stuck in traffic made an abrupt left turn. The driver hit the rider and left the scene. The victim was provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
