New York Distracted Driving Accidents
You have an obligation to keep your focus on the road any time you drive. Unfortunately, the growing number of smartphones and other mobile devices in the United States has made an otherwise simple task much more difficult. The roads in New York City can be hazardous, and residents are notorious for driving carelessly. The state actually has the ninth-worst driver distraction rating in the entire country. Approximately 12 percent of all highway fatalities in the state between 2017 and 2021 were linked to distracted driving, or 563 out of 4,785 road deaths. Drivers who cause a serious auto accident by not paying attention to the road should be held responsible in the event of a crash, and that means pursuing a strong claim for compensation with the help of a qualified lawyer.
