Queens, NY - Injury Collision at Rockaway Blvd & Van Wyck Expy

Queens, NY (July 8, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident in the Queens area on Sunday, July 7. The crash was reported at the intersection of Rockaway Boulevard and Van Wyck Expressway late that night, around 11:19 p.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. 

There were confirmed injuries at the scene, but the number and severity of the resulting injuries have not been determined. Emergency responders were present to aid the involved parties, and those needing additional support were later hospitalized by ambulance. The area was closed for several hours while local authorities worked to clear the scene. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris. While no further information on the accident is currently available, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
