Centereach, NY – Teen Arrested in Deadly Crash on Middle Country Rd
Centereach, NY (May 5, 2024) – A teen driver was arrested after a deadly hit-and-run crash in the Centereach area on Saturday, May 4. The accident was reported on Middle Country Road late that evening. It was later revealed that a 16-year-old driving a stolen Land Rover crashed into the back of a sedan.
The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the involved parties. The driver of the sedan, a 73-year-old Cetereach woman, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A 50-year-old man traveling in the sedan was seriously injured. The teen driver was not hurt, and he fled the scene on foot before quickly being taken into custody. He is currently facing multiple charges related to the incident.
