Centereach, NY – Teen Arrested in Deadly Crash on Middle Country Rd
Centereach, NY (May 5, 2024) – A teen driver was arrested after a deadly hit-and-run crash in the Centereach area on Saturday, May 4. The accident was reported on Middle Country Road late that evening. It was later revealed that a 16-year-old driving a stolen Land Rover crashed into the back of a sedan.
The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the involved parties. The driver of the sedan, a 73-year-old Cetereach woman, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A 50-year-old man traveling in the sedan was seriously injured.
