Jamaica, NY – Driver Fatally Hit by Box Truck on Nassau Expy
Jamaica, NY (April 2, 2024) – On Monday, April 1, a driver was killed after a crash involving a box truck in the Jamaica area. The deadly collision took place on Nassau Expressway near the John F. Kennedy Expressway that afternoon around 1:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was parked on the shoulder in a Honda CR-V at the time of the fatal crash.
It was later revealed that the Honda was hit by an oncoming box truck on the highway. The driver, a 68-year-old man, was transported to Jamaica Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has not been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
