Staten Island, NY – Rear-end Injury Crash on Korean War Veterans Pkwy
Staten Island, NY (May 2, 2024) – Three people were injured in a crash in the Staten Island area on Wednesday evening, May 1. The incident occurred on Korean War Veterans Parkway late that night around 9:50 p.m. Local reports revealed that a New York Police Department (NYPD) Emergency Service Unit truck broke down on the southbound lanes of the roadway.
The vehicle had pulled over to the side of the road to wait for a tow truck near Arden Avenue. Another motorist crashed into the rear of the vehicle. Three people were hurt in the crash, including an NYPD officer. All three were transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze for the treatment of sustained injuries.
